Thanks for checking out my travel blog, 50×30.

This site will serve as both a photographical and written documentation of my own personal travels as well as a home for my many travel opinions and rankings, etc.

As of the date of this site’s creation, Tuesday, May 14, 2019, I have stepped foot (or more likely driven) in 47 of the 50 states in the U.S., and spent a semester studying abroad in Paris, France. My intention and the impetus for the site’s name is to reach all 50 states before I turn 30 on October 6, 2019.

That is probably not a realistic goal as the three states remaining include Hawaii, Alaska and North Dakota, but I would not be at 47 in the first place without a great amount of ambition and a general devil-may-care attitude as it relates to general travel. My preferred method of travel is solo driving, but I’ve started flying more often as of late.

On this site, I will document my personal rankings of the many major cities that I have been to as well as restaurants, landmarks, national parks and many other things travel-related. I will also include travel blogs and some select photos from past and future trips.
